EMPLOYEES

Legal Officer

Main responsibilities:

  • Attends to the needs and requirements of the company on legal matters.
  • Attends to all regulatory matters of the company.
  • Sees to it that all legal and regulatory policies and procedures are followed and implemented.
  • Takes responsibility on the application for increases in authorized capital stock of the Funds and all matters related to this.
  • Prepares/reviews all contracts between FAMI (and/or the Funds) and its counter-parties, e.g., General
  • Acts as the lawyer of FAMI
  • Does other activities and assignments given by the President

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of Bachelor of Laws and MUST BE a BAR passer.
  • At least 1 year work experience in legal and other related matters, but not required.
  • Computer and administrative, good communication, and people skills.
  • Knowledge in SEC rules and requirements for registration and other related laws.
  • With good interpersonal relationship skills

Accounting Associate

Main responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of Securities and Exchange Commission required reports for FAMI and Funds. SEC Form 17A, 17Q, 17EX, SEC 20IS, SEC 12-1 (if necessary)
  • Coordinates required data who other departments / entities such as Operations and Transfer Agency
  • Perform Bank Reconciliation process (daily/monthly) for all the Funds Bank account
  • Ensure clearing of float items. Coordinate adjusting entries with Fund Accountant
  • Coordinate with Bank/FMIC reconciling items
  • Provide to Department/Division Head data necessary for the preparation of management report on Bank Reconciliation Activity such as aging and causes of discrepancies
  • Does other functions that may be required by superior from time to time

Qualifications:

  • Accounting Graduate, must be CPA
  • At least six (6) months working experience or has recently passed the CPA Board Exam
  • Knowledge on complete accounting cycle, FS preparation and Bank Reconciliation
  • Proficient in MS Excel and MS Word
  • Patient and hardworking

Head – Regulatory Reports and Bank Reconciliation

Main Resposibilities:

  • Prepares Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) required reports for FAMI and Funds. SEC Form 17A, 17Q, 17EX, SEC 20IS, SEC 12-1(if necessary).
  • Coordinates required data with other departments/ entities such as Legal, Operations and Transfer agency.
  • Oversees activities of Bank Reconciliation Associates.
  • Ensures clearing of float items.
  • Coordinate adjusting entries with Fund Accountant.
  • Coordinates with Bank/ FMIC reconciling items.
  • Prepares management report pertinent to Bank Reconciliation Activity such as aging and causes of discrepancies.
  • Assists Accounting Head with Audit Requirements.
  • Performs other functions that are required by superior and other officers.

Qualifications:

  • BS Accountancy, CPA
  • At least 3-5 years working experience preferably in the mutual fund industry.
  • Supervisory experience is also preferred
  • Proficient in MS Excel and MS Word
  • Complete accounting cycle, SEC regulations, FS preparation, Bank Reconciliation
  • Patient and hardworking, able to get along well with others

Database Administrator

Main responsibilities:

  • Develops and design of database strategies, system monitoring and improving database performance including capacity planning.
  • Identifies database requirements by interviewing customers; analyzing department applications, programming, and operations; evaluating existing systems and designing proposed systems.
  • Recommends solutions by defining database physical structure and functional capabilities, database security, data back-up, and recovery specifications.
  • Installs revised or new systems by proposing specifications and flowcharts; recommending optimum access techniques; coordinating installation requirements.
  • Provides MIS reports and data extracts by running queries/scripts when required
  • Supports database functions by designing and coding utilities.
  • Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
  • Monitors database logs

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of BS Computer Science or other related course
  • At least 2 years experience as Database Administrator, Database Admin
  • Certification is an advantage (Oracle database 11g Admin Certified Professional)
  • MCSA SQL Server 2012
  • Knowledge of database design and theory, Oracle database, MS SQL server,
  • Knowledge of structured query language (SQL) and SQL tools, database performance tuning, database security, general understanding of storage technologies, NAS/SAN, recovery and handling failover of database
  • Good communication and analytical skills
  • Team-player, with attention to details and dependable

 


Network Operations Associate

Main responsibilities:

  • Maintain user accounts, configure the network, diagnose and analyze network performance, do fine tuning.
  • Responsible for the configuration and maintenance of firewall, switches, routers, modems, PABX and other network and telecommunication equipment.
  • Ensure religious backup of data.
  • Secure network by complying with the network security policies of the company and the parent company – FMIC.
  • Coordinate with the service providers on matters relating to the installation, configuration, repair and maintenance of all telecommunication equipment.
  • Provide user assistance on network related problems.
  • Update and maintain network documentations
  • Do other tasks which may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of BS ECE, Computer Science or other related course
  • Network Support / Administration, active directory, Windows server 2008
  • Networking (LAN/WAN), IP addressing, structured cabling
  • Network certification is an advantage, network performance tuning, network-design and implementation

Team-player, with attention to details, dependable, quick-learner, preferably Male


Project Manager

Main responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the implementation of IT projects of the
  • Perform activities related to project management like planning and defining scope, activity planning, resource planning, time estimating, risk controls etc.
  • Identifies optimum solution to address business need based on study and analysis.
  • Prepares the request for proposal/ request for quotation/ detailed technical specifications.
  • Conducts proof of concepts and coordinate with the prospective vendors.
  • Prepare and compile documentations and manuals related to the implemented system. Follow required documentations aligned with FMIC.
  • Conduct post implementation review and project Sign Off.
  • Do other tasks which maybe asked from time to time.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of BS Computer Science and other related course
  • At least 2 years’ experience in project management
  • Working knowledge of project management tools, Oracle database and/or Microsoft SQL and Access, knowledge of systems development life cycle
  • With problem solving and analytical skills, good negotiation skills, time management skills, good leadership skills
  • Decisive, can work under time pressure, dependable, willing to work on extended hours

Customer Relations Associate (Binondo, Davao, Cebu and Makati)

Main responsibilities:

  • Meet their individual prospecting, presentation and subscription annual targets set by Management
  • Present FAMI Mutual Funds to prospect investors, assist in accomplishing account opening forms, see through the creation of their account number and solicitation of initial investments.
  • Answer inquiries from potential and existing investors, attend to concerns of their clients as well aas other company-generated accounts as may be assigned by management.
  • Attends regular channel meetings for performance review and planning, to give updates on new product promotions, schedule trainings/seminars, and answer queries for channel referrers
  • Conduct Investment Literacy Programs as requested by clients, prospects as well as MBTC subsidiaries.
  • Regularly visit high networth clients/institutions to provide investment performance review and outlook
  • Updates the distribution database on a regular basis
  • Prepares sales reports on a weekly basis
  • Provide necessary support to the assigned distribution channels to increase market coverage and sales output
  • Performs other sales related duties that may be assigned by the superior from time to time

Qualifications:

  • College graduate from a premiere university, any degree, preferably business related, mathematics-intensive and/or communications-heavy.
  • Sales-related field work (preferably in financial services but not required)
  • Agreeable social skills, proficient in oral and written English communications, above average mathematics skills, influential presentation and negotiation skills
  • Basic knowledge in Investments, Equities and Fixed Income, Above average in Mathematics, MS Office Literacy (Excel and PowerPoint are musts)
  • Confident, Out-spoken, Out-going, Self-Driven, Disciplined, with Integrity

Special Markets Associate

Main responsibility:

  • Sets appointments or meetings for Special Markets client and prospective clients
  • Helps build and maintain the database for Special Market clients and prospects
  • Provides assistance to clients on how to accomplish forms and facilitate their transactions
  • Prepares communication/marketing materials related to Special Market
  • Sends sales letters and make follow-ups
  • Prepares clients SOAs and other related report
  • Coordinates with other concerned staff to accomplish job
  • Does other functions required by his/her superior and other officers

Qualifications:

  • College Graduate of any four year business course
  • Working experience is preferable but not required
  • Proficient in MS Office particularly in MS Word, Powerpoint,
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Office administration, clerical knowledge
  • Hardworking, dedicated and can get along with people very well

Agency Development Associate

Main responsibility:

  • Conduct Orientation for New CIS
  • Handling submitted Account Opening Forms (AOF) of CIS
  • Checks CIS’ clients against AMLA Watch list
  • Facilitates the payments/ transactions of clients of CIS
  • Prepares Agency Production and Database Reports
  • Sends updates of training schedules, meetings and data to CIS
  • Handling schedules of Training Room
  • Monitoring office supplies and Forms for Investors Center
  • Prepares CIS clients SOAs
  • Prepares communication/marketing materials related to the agency
  • Coordinates with other concerned department for Business As Usual (BAU) matters and ad hoc projects
  • Set appointments or meetings for prospective CIS
  • Preparation of all requirements for expense reimbursements, check preparations and cash advance liquidation related to agency

Qualifications:

 

  • Graduate of any course
  • At least six months working experience doing administrative function
  • Proficient in MS Office particularly in MS Excel, Word and Power Point
  • Good oral and written Communication skills
  • Hard working, dedicated and can get along with people well
