Company History

First Metro Asset began in 2005. First Metro Investment Corporation signed a joint venture with the Catholic Educational Association of the Philippines (CEAP) and Marist Brothers Congregation Philippines, Inc. to establish First Metro Asset Management Inc. (FAMI). The purpose of FAMI is to enhance the investment literacy and provide reputable investment products to education and religious sectors.

Today, First Metro Asset is recognized as one of the leading asset management companies that offers a wide range of outstanding mutual fund products in the country to give you financial freedom and security for your future. Currently, First Metro Asset is the investment manager of eight (8) peso-denominated mutual funds, one (1) dollar-denominated mutual fund, and issuer of the first and only ETF in the country, the First Metro Exchange-Traded Fund.

Catholic Educational Association of the Philippines (CEAP) is a nationwide network of private Catholic educational institutions in the Philippines founded in 1941. It now has more than 1,525 member-schools and more than 120 superintendents of Catholic Schools. It is a voluntary organization which operates through regional educational associations located in the 17 regions of the country.

Marist Brothers Congregation Philippines, Inc. is an international Catholic religious congregation with around 5,000 members in more than 70 countries.
