FAMI conducted its Annual Shareholder’s Meeting

First Metro Asset Management, Inc., a subsidiary of First Metro Investment Corporation (FMIC) and part of the Metrobank Group, recently concluded its Annual Shareholder’s Meeting for its Save and Learn Mutual Funds that last June 15, 2011 at the 19th floor of PSBank Center, Makati City.
The following individuals were elected the Board of Directors for 2011 to 2012:
Bro. Manuel V. De Leon, FMS
Hector C. De Leon
Sr. Lioba Tiamson, OSB
Fr. Redentor S. Corpuz
Dr. Victor A. Abola

Mr. Edwin Valeroso, FAMI’s Vice President for Operations presented the performance highlights of the Save and Learn Funds. The Save and Learn Equity (SALEF), Balanced (SALBF) and Fixed-Income Funds (SALFIF) all garnered remarkable returns in 2010, each being the top performers in their respective categories.
Mr. Rey Montalbo, Jr, FMIC FVP and Mr. Junie Banaag, Jr., FMIC VP, represented FAMI’s investment committee and gave a review on the equity and bond markets, along with their 2011 outlook and targets for the Save and Learn funds.
In addition, FAMI will be receiving the following awards from the Philippine Investment Funds Association for their remarkable performances last year:

1st place – 3-year return – Equity Fund Category
1st place – 5-year return – Equity Fund Category
Save and Learn Balanced Fund
1st place – 1-year return – Balanced Fund Category

1st place – 1-year return – Peso-Denominated Bond Fund Category
2nd place – 3-year return – Peso-Denominated Bond Fund Category
3rd place – 5-year return – Peso-Denominated Bond Fund Category
Save and Learn Money-Market Fund
3rd place – 1-year return – Money-Market Fund Category.
